Beautifully illustrated, and robust in its historical, cultural, and gendered contexts,&nbsp;<em>Wendat Women\u2019s Arts&nbsp;<\/em>blends \u201cart historical approaches in a framework of community knowledge.\u201d As&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cha-shc.ca\/prize-winner\/lianne-leddy-annette-w-de-stecher\/\">the commendation<\/a>&nbsp;further reads, de Stecher weaves together biographies, photography, archives and cultural belongings to forefront Wendat women\u2019s influence in geopolitics, diplomacy, economics, social dynamics and cultural life.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Wendat Women\u2019s Arts<\/em>&nbsp;was published in 2022 by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mqup.ca\/wendat-women-s-arts-products-9780228010678.php\">McGill-Queen\u2019s University Press<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Receiving the award alongside de Stecher was Lianne Leddy for her book&nbsp;<em>Serpent River Resurgence: Confronting Uranium Mining at Elliot Lake<\/em>&nbsp;(University of Toronto Press, 2022).
