Paula Whitlow

Executive Director, Woodlands Cultural Centre

Website: http://woodlandculturalcentre.ca/executive-director-announced/

Biography

I became the Woodland Cultural Centre’s GRASAC representative in 2011. I have participated in GRASAC research trips to the Musee du quai Branly in Paris, the Musée d’Ethnographie in Geneva, the Museum of Yverdon in Switzerland, the Royal Ontario Museum and the Rochester Museum and Science Center. I have also co-organized two successful GRASAC conferences at the Woodland Cultural Centre (in 2014 and 2016).

My research areas include Haudenosaunee architecture; Indian Residential Schools: restoration and re-interpretation of the Mohawk Institute IRS (present – 2020); and curating the Woodland Cultural Centre’s museum collection of 26,000 objects.
