August 1, 2023 by chass_wp-admin

From Laura Peers

Laura Peers and Lori Beavis are very pleased to announce that the catalogue for the To Honour and Respect exhibition is available from Happenstance Books, Lakefield Ontario, for $20 + shipping. Contact information for ordering: happenstancebooksandyarns.ca, (705) 652-7535, happenstance@bellnet.ca.

The 64-page catalogue includes photographs of all the makakoon make by women at Rice Lake Village (Hiawatha First Nation) in 1860 as gifts for the Prince of Wales, along with historical and cultural context and reflections by community members on the continuing significance of these gifts today.
